De voetbalwereld rouwt na het overlijden van Sala

De voetbalwereld heeft met verdriet kennisgenomen van het feit dat het lichaam van Emiliano Sala geïdentificeerd is in het gecrashte vliegtuig. Donderdagavond werd bevestigd dat de voormalig profvoetballer inderdaad is overleden bij de crash. Sindsdien stromen de steunbetuigingen vanuit de voetballerij binnen.

'We leven enorm mee met de familie van Emiliano en delen ons medeleven. Hij en David (Ibbotson, de piloot, red.) zullen voor altijd in onze gedachten blijven', laat Cardiff City weten in een korte verklaring op het nieuws.

Het lichaam van piloot Ibbotson is overigens nog niet gevonden: in het vliegtuig werd slechts één stoffelijk overschot aangetroffen. Uit de voetballerij kwamen ook ontelbare steunbetuigingen na het nieuws. Hier lees je alles over de trieste ontwikkelingen.
