Garry O'Connor is set to quit Lokomotiv Moscow for the sake of his homesick family.

The 23-year-old striker was a substitute in Scotland's 1-0 win over France last night.

And the former Hibernian star is hoping to win a permanent move back to Britain - with the Premiership or the Coca-Cola Championship top of his list - after revealing how his wife has failed to settle in Russia.

"Family comes first," he said. "Their happiness is the most important thing and Lisa can't settle out there.

"I have a son Josh, who is nearly three, and I have to do what is right for them.

"Lisa is back in Scotland a lot of the time and it's just a case of me having to look at the bigger picture at the end of our season next month."
