Newcastle midfielder Kieron Dyer is hoping he has enjoyed the last of his warm welcomes back from injury.
The 27-year-old England international was applauded onto and off the pitch at St James' Park on Wednesday night as he made his long-awaited comeback from injury after six months on the sidelines.
Dyer said: "It has been a long hard road but I never lost faith in myself, and neither did the manager or the physiotherapists. Now I hope to reward them by playing a full part for the rest of the season. While I was delighted at the reception I got from the fans, I have had a few like that over the years and I want this one to be the last."
