Big week for Staunton awaits
Under fire manager, Stephen Staunton, will be hoping for better fortune this week, as he takes his Irish side to Cyprus and then they face the Czech Republic the foolowing Wednesday. Stan's reign thus far is less then impresive. Consequenly ROI are dropping rank as every game passes. Indeed Ireland are ranked in one of there lowest positions in many years. Many supporters are worried about his start to the job.Although the fact is Staunton was appointed by the FAI without any previous managerial experience which is downright shocking. The question remains, why did the FAI appoint Staunton?
