Middlesbrough striker Mark Viduka is to play on for Australia after admitting he considered retiring from international football.
The 30-year-old frontman, who captained his country at this summer's World Cup and has 37 caps, missed the 2-0 AFC Asia Cup defeat by Kuwait last week. But, having held talks with caretaker boss Graham Arnold, he will continue to make himself available, although perhaps not for every game.
Viduka said: "It is a big commitment playing for Australia because there is such a lot of travelling and it means being away from the family, and not being able to able to concentrate fully on playing for your club."
