Jermaine Jenas gave Tottenham a UEFA Cup first-round first-leg advantage over Slavia Prague and now faces the prospect of filling Aaron Lennon's midfield role after the teenage winger was ruled out for six weeks.
Spurs were always too classy for a hard-working Prague side and did enough on Thursday night to ensure they took a crucial away goal back to White hart Lane for the return leg in a fortnight's time.
Jenas' goal was Tottenham's first in European competitions since Gordon Durie netted for the north Londoners in a Cup Winners' Cup preliminary round game against SC Stockerau 15 years ago.
