Deportivo La Coruna striker Diego Tristan has turned down an oppotunity to join premiership side Bolton and will now stay in Spain. Bolton were believed to have offered ?1.5 million(£1 million) for the Spanish striker and seemed to have led the race to capture the Deportivo man, but after meeting with him they couldn't agree terms and Tristan has decided to stay in Spain. Allardyce would be disapointed with this as he has been in search of a striker for much of the summer with the imminent departure of Mexican striker Jared Borgetti.
