Wayne Rooney admits he was "disappointed" by Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo's actions during the controversial World Cup semi-final between England and Portugal but has forgiven him.
Rooney was sent off for stamping on Ricardo Carvalho as Portugal eventually knocked England out on penalties and Ronaldo's provocative behaviour caused outrage in the aftermath of the match.
Rooney told Sky Sports News: "It's fine now. I spoke to him on the night after the game. I'm not going to lie, I was disappointed with the way he ran over to the referee. But at the end of the day we weren't team-mates that day. We were rivals."
