Real close in on Diarra
Real Madrid look set to sign Lyon midfielder Mahamadou Diarra, the Mali international is considered one of the best midfielders of his type in europe. Real Madrid appear to have won the race to sign Diarra after it seems there had been much interest in the player from many other clubs in europe including Manchester United. Lyon are said to be looking for in the region of ?30 million for the midfielder but it is thought that this move could see either Pablo Garcia or Carlos Diogo move in the opposite direction due to Real only wanting to spend in the region of ?25 million for the player.
This move could also mark the end of Thomas Gravesen's career at Real Madrid as he has already been linked with a return to the premiership with Newcastle showing an interest in the former everton player.
