Reading manager Steve Coppell believes Irish international striker Kevin Doyle will prove to be one of the success stories of the Premiership this season.
Doyle joined the Royals from Cork City last year and helped himself to 18 goals as the club raced to the Coca-Cola Championship crown.
More than just a poacher, the Wexford lad also contributed handsomely with his creative play, linking up effectively with fellow front men Dave Kitson and Leroy Lita.
And Coppell feels the 23-year-old - who is expected to start up front for Ireland against Holland on Wednesday - has what it takes to take the Premiership by storm this term.
He said: "I think he did more for us last season than we could have hoped and more than he dreamed of.
"He's got what it takes to become a really top player. It's not just about his goals. It's his all-round game."
Doyle will get his first taste of top flight action when Middlesbrough are the visitors to the Madesjki Stadium on Saturday next (August 19th).
