Pearce looks to strengthen further
Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce is hoping to make further additions to his squad ahead of the Premiership season despite already bringing in five new faces to Eastlands this summer.
Pearce has already signed Bernardo Corradi, Dietmar Hamann, Ousmane Dabo, Joe Hart and Paul Dickov while also encouraging Joey Barton and Micah Richards to extend their deals with the club.
The manager, currently in China with the team for a pre-season tournament, expects there to be further arrivals before their campaign kicks off against defending champions Chelsea. "We are hoping to add to that," he said. "The chief executive hasn't travelled on the trip because he is busy talking to a player at the moment so we would like to get one or two more in."
