Newcastle in takeover talks

The Belgravia Group have confirmed they are looking into a potential takeover of Newcastle United.

Following press speculation over the weekend, the Jersey-based investment company released a statement to the Stock Exchange.

It read: "The Belgravia Group ('Belgravia') confirms that it is examining the potential opportunity of acquiring Newcastle United plc, which may or may not lead to an offer for the company being made by Belgravia."
