Mourinho calm over Cole deal
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists it will not be a problem if they fail to land England left-back Ashley Cole from Arsenal.
The form of Wayne Bridge has helped Mourinho to issue his latest piece of public brinkmanship in the long-running saga over Cole's future. Negotiations between the two clubs have reached an impasse, with neither wishing to lose face over any deal.
"I have Bridge, who is playing very well," said Mourinho. "I don't have another pure left-back but there are some solutions in the squad to give us cover for that position. I don't know what the situation is but if, on the 31st of August, we cannot get Cole then it is not a drama."
