Heskey strikes for Latics

Emile Heskey scored his first goal for six months as Wigan beat Reading 1-0 at the JJB Stadium.

The 5.5million club-record signing chose his 500th career club match to prove he can still cut it at Premiership level, scoring the only goal of the game seven minutes from half-time.

The 28-year-old could certainly have finished the game with a hat-trick before limping off 14 minutes from time with an ankle problem.
