Michael Ballack insisted it will "take some time" until he gets used to his new Chelsea team-mates and vice versa.
The Germany skipper gave Jose Mourinho a first account of his trademark goal hunger when he played the full 90 minutes in the Blues' 1-0 victory over Feyenoord. He came close to scoring on three occasions, including two headers as well as a close-range shot that cannoned over.
"It was the second match - you cannot be at the level where you want to be," he told PA Sport after his first win for Chelsea. "Lots of players were at the World Cup and had a long season followed by some time off. You just need time to get back."
