Bolton boss Sam Allardyce claims he has not taken a risk by signing former Manchester City and Arsenal striker Nicolas Anelka.
The Frenchman, who has joined the Wanderers from Fenerbahce in a club record deal worth 8million, has a reputation for causing trouble, but Allardyce believes he will be a superb addition to his squad.
He said: "I think it is the smallest gamble we have ever taken. Nic's record speaks for itself. We want to help him along the way and produce and perform, and I am really looking forward to the opportunity of working with him and the rest of the squad is as well."
