Vassell has had a hernia operation
Manchester City striker Darius Vassell has had a hernia operation.
With the season over and no international duties for the 26-year-old, it seemed like the perfect time to get it out the way as he should recover in time for pre-season training.
Vassell had to play out the season with the injury, playing through the pain-barrier to help Stuart Pearce's team out as much as possible.
