Ljungberg predicts Swedish goal rush

16 juni 2006, 10:30

Freddie Ljungberg believes Sweden have broken their scoring hoodoo - just in time for their meeting with England next week.

The Arsenal midfielder struck in the 89th minute against Paraguay on Thursday night to put Sweden on the brink of making the last 16. However scoring has been a problem for the Swedish players - apart from their goalless draw against Trinidad and Tobago they had only scored one goal since January in four friendlies.

Ljungberg, who had his right leg strapped after receiving several knocks against Paraguay but should be fit for England, said: "We were getting worried but hopefully now we have finally scored the goals will come."
