Crouch hat-trick as England hit six

Hat-trick hero Peter Crouch gave England and their fans a winning send-off before heading for the World Cup finals as they crushed Jamaica 6-0 at Old Trafford.

But the joy of their emphatic victory was tempered by injuries to defenders John Terry (hamstring) and Ashley Cole who was clutching his groin as he left the pitch. Cole, however, was given the all-clear after a precautionary scan on Saturday night.

Frank Lampard, Michael Owen - who completed his first 90 minutes for more than five months - and an own goal from Jermaine Taylor completed the rout.
