Tottenham's final game of the season against West Ham has been cast in doubt after a number of the squad have come down with food poisoning.

The game, which is meant to take place today (Sunday), is one of the key games that will decide whether the fourth place will go to them or rivals Arsenal. Tottenham have told the Premier League that they may have to try and postpone the fixture but may be overuled as all the games on the final day of the season are due to start at the same time. Spokesman for the League Dan Johnson said that the game is due to go ahead as scheduled which would be a major blow to Spurs as they have a desperate finish for the last Champions League slot.

"As things stand, the game is still going ahead," said Johnson. "But a number of players have been struck down by food poisoning. It appears to have hit them in the early hours of the morning." West Ham will be keen to get the game over and done with this weekend due to their pending FA cup final clash against Liverpool next weekend.
