Newcastle caretaker boss Glenn Roeder believes there is "a good argument" to be made for him to be allowed to take the reins permanently at St James' Park - providing chairman Freddy Shepherd decides he is the right man for the job.
Roeder does not have the UEFA Pro Licence required of new managers in the Barclays Premiership.
However, he now appears keen to become the full-time boss at Newcastle and asked on Sky Sports about the Newcastle job, 50-year-old Roeder suggested there might be a way he could manage the club initially without having the licence. "With the experience I've got at this level, there's a good argument I should be allowed to," he said.
