Pavel Nedved has warned his Czech Republic team-mates that their world ranking of second will count for nothing at this summer's World Cup.
The Czech Republic face Italy, USA and Ghana in Group E and Nedved knows they cannot afford to take any of the games for granted. The Juventus midfielder, who returned from international retirement for the World Cup play-offs against Norway, also has extra motivation to do well in Germany as he hinted he could retire from football altogether after the tournament.
"[The play-offs] may have been psychologically the most difficult matches of my career and certainly of this season," he said.
