Gold happy for Bruce to stay on

Birmingham co-owner David Gold believes Steve Bruce will remain at the club next season despite their relegation from the Barclays Premiership.

"He took Birmingham City into the Premier League and is now charged with the same task. I believe he is the man to do it," said Gold.

"All the indications I've received is that he is determined as ever to be manager of Birmingham City. The meeting (at Gold's Essex mansion) is not about whether we want Steve Bruce to stay. We want Steve Bruce as our manager."
