West Brom boss Bryan Robson admitted to fearing the loss of Curtis Davies in the Summer to a higher club after the Baggies were relegated.
The 21-year-old has impressed at the Hawthorns since his £3 million move from Luton last year. The centre back had a good year personally being called up for the U21 squad and also even being named captain on the odd occasion for the Baggies at his tender age. The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton and Portsmouth have been linked with his signature and Robson conceded that he may have no choice but to sell his prize asset if a big offer comes in.
"I've absolutely no intention of selling Curtis, but you can never say that definately," said Robson. "But what I don't want to do is give false hopes and we all know the economics of the situation. If a big club comes in with massive money then you don't know what might happen."
