West Brom have slapped a 15million price tag on highly-rated central defender Curtis Davies in a bid to ward off predators looking to cherry-pick their best players after being relegated from the Premiership.
Albion boss Bryan Robson is determined to try to keep the nucleus of his squad together in a bid to make a quickfire return to the top flight. Davies has made massive strides since being signed from Luton for 3million last summer and Robson even gave the England under-21 player the captain's armband on occasion.
Arsenal were linked with Davies in January and Robson is aware bids could come in during the summer, but he also believes Davies would benefit from another season under his charge. Robson said: "Everyone keeps talking about Curtis. He has come a hell of a long way in a short period of time. Everyone has got their price. I don't want to sell Curtis. That's the last thing on my mind."
