Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid believes that the onus is on the players to make sure that the club is playing European football next season.
Rovers are in a good position to pick up a Uefa Cup place, although their form of late has yielded only two points from four matches, leaving them in sixth position.
However, Reid, who is on the verge of signing a new deal with club, believes that it would be a major disappointment if they did not qualify for Europe next season.
"If we get at least two wins then hopefully that will be enough for European football, but it's nice to know our fate is in our hands," said Reid.
