The Blackburn Rovers striker could leave Ewood Park for a minimal six million pounds fee this summer if Boro capitalise on Bellamy's minimum fee release clause. The clause, set in Bellamy's contract by his advisors when he signed from Newcastle, was put in place to aid the player out of the club, had his decision to move in the January of 2005 been a bad one. The clause means that if the offer comes in the club will have to accept it and allow contract discussions between Craig Bellamy and Middlesbrough.
Welsh international Bellamy has been enjoying an amazing season with Blackburn scoring 13 goals in 24 apperances including an outstanding current vein of form that has seen him score 7 in as many games. The former Newcastle frontman is believed to have stated that he is happy at Blackburn and is unlikely to leave the club unless a bigger club comes in.
