Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn has denied that he is considering quitting the Germany national team.
On Friday, Kahn was informed by national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann that Arsenal custodian Jens Lehmann would be the starting goalkeeper for Germany in the World Cup. That led to speculation that Kahn would not wish to serve as an understudy to Lehmann but the 36-year-old says he is willing to continue in that role.
Kahn told www.fcbayern.de: "It's important for the national team, in spite of the difficult situation for me, that I should want to be at the World Cup."
