Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists that Manchester United are too far off first position, to snatch the title away from Mourinho's men.
The revelation comes after United boss Sir Alex Ferguson released a statement, claiming that the Red Devil's are still in with a chance of winning the Premiership.
"It could be a pivotal weekend if Chelsea were to drop points. Football is such an extraordinary game and so full of surprises you just never know," said Ferguson.
However, Blues boss Mourinho replied, admitting that Chelsea have just about captured the title.
"Nine points behind I think is a big gap. If I was in their position, I would be happy with the last couple of months, where they are playing good and winning matches, but very concerned about the distance."
With seven matches to go, the title is almost certainly in the bag for Mourinho. "Nine points with seven matches to go - I am not thinking they are very close to us," added the boss.
