Giuly ultimatum for Barca
Barcelona midfielder Ludovic Giuly has issued the Spanish giants an ultimatum after suggestions that Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez will try to snap up the Frenchman this summer.
The 29-year-old has expressed a desire to stay at the Nou Camp but wants a new 2 year extension contract with the club. Giuly failed to deny interest from the Merseyside club but did say that he had, had no contact with Benitez or anyone at the club. The Frenchman also mentioned that they were not the only club linked with him.
"Did Benitez call me? Not Yet." he told L'Equipe. "Maybe he will do it soon - if you say so. I have offers from France and elsewhere." He discussed his current situation by stating "I am fine at Barca, where I would like to finish my career. For that I need a contact extension, as mine will end in June, 2007. But I will sign with my conditions, which are two additional years."
