Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has vowed that his future lies with the Anfield club after Real Madrid announced the player to be their top transfer target.

The director of football at Real Madrid, Benito Floro, claimed that the player was among a number of wanted players at the Bernabeu. Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez rubbished the claims on Thursday and now Gerrard has followed suit to ensure the fans of his desire to stay at his hometown club.

"I'm not going to get involved in all that kind of speculation again," Gerrard told the Liverpool Echo. "I'm settled and happy at Liverpool and I am not going to go through another summer like the last two. I will be staying here until the day someone tells me they don't want me."
