Reading striker Kevin Doyle has completed a remarkable 12 months by being named in the 2006 Professional Footballers' Association Football League Championship Team of the Year.
The 22-year-old was playing for Cork City in Ireland's eircom League this time last year before moving to the Madejski Stadium in the summer and helping them storm to the Championship title.
He has scored 19 goals, helping Reading pass the 100-point barrier and reach the Barclays Premiership under the management of Steve Coppell. Doyle has also earned his first cap for the Republic of Ireland this season.
