Wanderers complete Tal deal

30 maart 2006, 13:34

The Bolton Wanderers today confirmed that Israeli international Idan Tal has signed a pre-contract agreement and will join the club on the 1st July 2006.

The 31-year-old playmaker, who has signed a three-year contract, will embark on his second spell in England, after playing two seasons with Everton at the start of the decade. He made over 20 appearances for the Goodison Park club, and in 2002 moved on to Spanish side Rayo Vallecano, before returning to Israel.

Wanderers' manager Sam Allardyce said: "Idan will add extra attacking flair to a midfield that already contains quality.  He reminds me of West Ham's Yossi Benayoun, and if he makes a similar impact on the Premier League as Benayoun and our own Tal Ben Haim have then we will have some player at our disposal."
