Birmingham co-owner David Sullivan has turned his anger on some of the club's under-performing players after backing manager Steve Bruce.
Bruce's side face a difficult fight to avoid relegation from the Barclays Premiership and pressure increased this week after a humiliating 7-0 thrashing at home to Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals. But club president Sullivan, who claims it has "got to a point now where I don't like footballers", believes the blame lies firmly with the players on the pitch.
"The players need to look at themselves and stand up and be counted. Some people aren't playing to their maximum potential," he said. "Unfortunately some of them don't see it like that. Some of them aren't earning their money."
