No rivalry for Gerrard

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard insisted that Arsenal will get to the finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The Gunners have been drawn to play Italian giants Juventus and are currently the only English team left after Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea were knocked out.

It will be a big game as ex Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira returns with his new club, after joining last year.

"Arsenal have got a difficult game, Juve are a strong team but hopefully Arsenal can do England proud and go as far as possible. It's good for English football when teams do well and Arsenal have definitely got the players to go all the way if they keep Henry and other match winners fit," Gerrard said speaking to Sky Sports News.

Liverpool face Arsenal on Sunday with what hopes to be a crunching game as both teams are fighting for second spot in the Premiership.

"Hopefully they're still celebrating from qualifying and we can get three points off them but it's a massive game for us at Highbury because we want to finish second in the league," added Gerrard.

The England star also commented on Liverpool's Champions League failure, "It was really disappointing but we've got to get over it now and concentrate on the league and try to deliver the FA Cup for our special supporters," said Gerrard.
